Aleksander Małachowski

Aleksander Małachowski (Hashtagalek) is an architecture photographer, born and raised in Warsaw. In 2019 he graduated from the New Media Arts Department at the Polish-Japanese Academy of Information Technology with a Master of Arts degree. Discovering new perspectives and attaching importance to details are his passion. He seeks a connection between photography and the surrounding, orderly world. When observing the reality, he focuses on geometry, symmetry and minimalism.

His photographs were published in magazines such as K MAG, Warsaw Insider, WhiteMAD, EyeEm and Varsovie Magazine and where repeatedly honorary mentioned by many magazines on Instagram. Collaborating with the Foundation “Artystyczna Podróż Hestii”, he co-organised an international exhibition ATYPICAL, which portrayed his atypical and unique perspective on Warsaw. His master’s degree exhibition OVERWHELMED showed the depressing side of surrounding architecture.

He was awarded the Scholarship of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education for outstanding achievements in the academic year 2018/2019. He was a speaker at the events such as “Social Media Czwartki”, “Środa Dzień Bloga”, “Discover Yourself” at SGH in Warsaw and “Fotowtorek” in a café #TAG.

He has also carried out photography projects for brands such as Samsung, Canon, ERGO Hestia, Mastercard, Peugeot and Microsoft. He runs the biggest internet portal about Warsaw on Instagram called @NowaWarszawa.
